"Prevalence of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in Patients With HCV Associated Mixed Cryoglobulinemia."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 62nd Annual Meeting of the American College of Rheumatology, held November 8-12, 1998, in San Diego, California, "Mixed Cryoglobulinemia (MC) is a chronic systemic disease characterized by an cryoprecipitate-induced vasculitis of the small and medium sized blood vessels. The presence of a B cell lymphoproliferative disorder is always associated with Type I where in Type II it occurs in a fraction of patients and Type III, which is associated with infectious and autoimmune diseases, B lymphoproliferative disease occurs less frequently.
