Combination Therapy Induces Lung Cancer Regression

The combination of chemotherapy and interleukin (IL)-15 administration induced permanent tumor regression in a murine lung cancer model.

A.I. Chapoval and colleagues from the Mayo Clinic, Minnesota, investigated the pathogenesis responsible for tumor regression as a result of combination therapy in a murine model ("Combination Chemotherapy and IL-15 Administration Induce Permanent Tumor Regression in a Mouse Lung Tumor Model: NK and T Cell-Mediated Effects Antagonized by B Cells," Journal of Immunology, December 15, 1998;161(12):6977-6984).
