Premature Menopause Caused by Cancer Therapy Demands Attention

Cancer therapy can cause premature menopause, often abruptly. A multidisciplinary approach may give a woman a better chance at coping.

"It has only been in recent years that the consequences of premature menopause in women treated for cancer have gained attention, and very little appears in the oncology literature about this phenomenon and its impact on quality of life.
