Dysfunction in Cellular Immunity after Stem Cell Transplantation

Researchers report significant dysfunction in cellular immunity after stem cell transplantation in an ongoing study of breast cancer patients who received high-dose chemotherapy.

D. Avigan and colleagues, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts, are completing a study examining the nature of humoral and cellular immune reconstitution in patients with advanced breast cancer who have undergone high-dose chemotherapy with stem cell rescue.
