"Mastectomy with Immediate and Delayed Reconstruction in Patients with Breast Cancer."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 1st Milan Breast Cancer Conference, held June 17-19, 1999 in Milan, Italy, "Experience with organ-conserving and reconstructive surgery in patients with breast cancer suggests that it is a reasonable alternative to conventional mastectomy. From September 1998 to March 1999, 23 female patients with breast cancer were treated with mastectomy with reconstruction (age from 28 to 59, mean age 45.1). The patients were divided in 2 groups.
