Adjuvant Therapy Well Tolerated in Pediatric Melanoma Patient

Adjuvant immunotherapy with interferon alfa 2b (IFN(alpha)2b) was well tolerated in a pediatric melanoma patient.

W. Pietras and D. Wojcik from the Medical Academy, Poland, reported the case of a seven-year-old boy with melanoma who was treated at their facility. The case report was presented at the joint meeting of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology, the American Society for Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, and the 31st Annual Meeting of the International Society of Pediatric Surgical Oncology, held September 13-18, 1999, in Montreal, Canada.
