Variables Identified as Predictors of Poor Adherence to Surveillance Recommendations

Researchers have identified variables that may influence whether or not a patient will adhere to recommendations for follow-up surveillance for ovarian cancer.

Paul Ritvo and colleagues from Cancer Care Ontario - Ontario Cancer Institute, University Health Network, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, monitored and evaluated 83 patients to determine predictors of non-adherence to recommended ovarian screening after familial genetic assessment at a specialized ovarian cancer-risk clinic.
