L. Bron and colleagues, CHU Vaudois, Serv ORL & Chirurg Cervico Faciale, of Switzerland, noted that "Both radiotherapy and endoscopic or open functional surgery are recognized treatments for laryngeal cancer stage I and II."
The researchers analyzed and compared two separate groups of patients who were treated for stage I and stage II laryngeal cancer with either surgery (n=72) or radiotherapy (n=81) over a period of 13 years.
