First-of-its-Kind System Helps Diagnose Cancer

A new medical imaging technology unveiled by GE Medical Systems helps doctors make thorough and potentially life-saving diagnoses of cancers and other diseases in a single exam in less than half the time of traditional imaging procedures.

The Millennium VG Hawkeye, introduced at the Society of Nuclear Medicine conference in St. Louis, Missouri, creates pictures of the body that reveal both the nature of an abnormal growth and its precise location in the body.
