The use of Taxol (paclitaxel) plus Paraplatin (carboplatin), administered in a novel weekly regimen, offers a safe and effective treatment option for patients with advanced lung cancer, according to research presented September 13, 2000, at the 9th World Conference on Lung Cancer, held in Tokyo, Japan. Safety and tolerability are of critical importance in patients with advanced lung cancer.
