Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is associated with risk factors such as hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. L. Tornillo et al. of the University of Basel Hospital examined genetic deletions and additions in hepatocellular carcinoma samples obtained from patients with confirmed HBV or HCV infections.
