Encapsulated Vincristine To Be Tested In CHOP Therapy

Inex Pharmaceuticals Corp. (INEX; IEX) announced on March 26, 2001, that a Phase II clinical trial has begun enrolling patients to evaluate its lead product Onco TCS as part of a first-line treatment for aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), one of the leading causes of cancer deaths in Canada and the United States.

David Main, INEX, said the current standard first-line treatment for the aggressive form of NHL is the CHOP chemotherapy combination, comprising the drugs cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin hydrochloride, vincristine, and prednisone. Onco TCS is the encapsulation of vincristine in INEX's proprietary drug delivery technology, Transmembrane Carrier...
