CyberKnife Gets FDA Clearance For Noninvasive Cancer Surgery

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared for marketing Accuray Inc.'s CyberKnife with Dynamic Tracking Software (DTS) to provide radiosurgery for lesions, tumors, and conditions anywhere in the body when radiation treatment is indicated. This is the first robotic system to receive FDA clearance for providing radiosurgical ablation anywhere in the body, according to the company.
