Endostatin is a natural inhibitor of angiogenesis, or neovascularization. Medical investigators from China, in conjunction with colleagues at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pennsylvania, have determined recombinant or retroviral-mediated delivery of endostatin limits the proliferation of thyroid cancers implanted into nude mice.
Initially, Caisheng Ye and colleagues treated FTC-implanted mice with recombinant protein.
