Treatment shows promise in study of patients with relapsing disease

Peptide vaccination of acute myelogenous leukemia patients can elicit highly active specific immunity against leukemia cells and induce remission, according to a study conducted by researchers at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Results of this study were presented at the 44th annual meeting of the American Society of Hematology in Philadelphia.
