High frequency of t(11;18) found in MALT disease in Chinese patients

"t(11;18)(q21;q21), the most frequent chromosomal aberration of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma, occurs in 30% of gastric patients," researchers in England report.

"Although the translocation is often associated with an aggressive course, it has not been described in transformed MALT lymphomas," wrote S.S. Chuang and colleagues, University College of London, Department of Histopathology.
