Core biopsy without image guidance for palpable breast cancers is advocated due to high sensitivity. "The aim of this study was to assess the efficacy of free-hand percutaneous core biopsy (FHCB) and to determine the role of fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) as diagnostic tools for palpable radiologically-suspicious breast lumps," researchers in England report.
