Anaplastic large cell lymphoma can develop after liver and heart transplantation.

According to recent research published in the journal Archives of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, "Post-transplant CD30+ (Ki-1) anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) is rare.

"A review of the literature revealed only three such cases. All three cases were developed after single-organ transplantation," wrote L.Y. Lee and colleagues, CUNY Mt Sinai School of Medicine, Department of Pathology.
