Cytotoxic T-cell lymphoma development may result in internal bleeding

Cytotoxic T-cell lymphoma and other cancers can occur in Behcet disease patients; may not have a good prognosis.

According to recent research published in the International Journal of Hematology, "The case of a 49-year-old man with peripheral T-cell lymphoma arising in Behcet disease (1313) is reported. A diagnosis of incomplete BD was made, and the patient was treated with immunosuppressive agents for 9 mo. A left perirenal mass emerged, and a computed tomography-guided needle biopsy of the tumor revealed the infiltration of small and medium size lymphoma cells.
