Breast, prostate cancers focus of new Cancer Society research professorships

The American Cancer Society has awarded its latest clinical research professorships to two scientists who are studying the translation of basic biology to the treatment of cancer.

The two researchers are Harvard cancer epidemiologist Graham A. Colditz, MD, PhD, of the Channing Laboratory, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, and Kenneth J. Pienta, MD, director of the Urologic Oncology Research Program at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center, Ann Arbor.
