According to recent research published in the journal Cancer Treatment Reviews, "Our understanding of the clinical and cellular pharmacology of drugs commonly used in the treatment of childhood cancer have increased greatly over the past 2 decades.
"However, with the exception of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), our current knowledge of factors such as interpatient pharmacokinetic variability and cellular determinants of chemosensitivity has not been utilized in the design of integrated clinical studies," wrote E.J.
