Percutaneous radiofrequency ablation of lung tumors shown safe and effective

Rita Medical Systems, Inc., (Rita) announced the presentation of study results in 96 patients treated with radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for malignant lung tumors, with early results suggesting that computed tomography (CT)-guided RFA provides successful local control of tumors with low morbidity and no mortality in patients with pulmonary malignancies.
