Prostate cancer and erectile dysfunction. Which therapy when?

Several approaches to erectile dysfunction (ED) are effective, researchers report.

"The quality of life of patients after radical prostatectomy is mainly influenced by ED and incontinence. New criteria for treatment and patient selection give us the opportunity to restore sexual function in more patients," scientists in Germany report.

"When ED is present, we should not wait for 24 months for natural restitution. ODE-5-inhibitors, intracavernosal self-injection therapy, and the vacuum constriction device are effective and conform to both patient and economic preference," wrote H.
