According to recent research published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry, "vascular permeability factor/vascular endothelial growth factor (VPF/VEGF), the critical molecule in tumor angiogenesis, is regulated by different stimuli such as hypoxia and oncogenes, and also by growth factors.
