Hudson licenses radiosensitizer IPdR

Hudson Health Sciences, Inc., (HHS), a biopharmaceutical company headquartered in San Francisco, California, has licensed IPdR, a radiosensitizer, from Yale University and The Research Foundation of the State University of New York. IPdR is initially being developed as a radiation sensitizer for the treatment of certain types of brain cancers. Hudson Health Sciences anticipates commencing phase I trials during 2004. IPdR is a novel, orally available, halogenated dThd analogue and prodrug for IUdR, an intravenous tumor radiation sensitizer.
