Patent issued for method to predict effectiveness of chemotherapy

U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted patent gene methylation technology for the prediction of clinical response to certain types of chemotherapeutic treatment of cancer patients.

The treatment was developed by researchers at The Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. OncoMethylome Sciences is the exclusive licensee of this patent, as well as of other key patents in the field of gene methylation technology.
