Cancer coalition donates pharmaceuticals to Mexico

The National Cancer Coalition (NCC), a not-for-profit cancer group, announced that it has shipped cancer pharmaceuticals to hospitals in Mexico that serve needy oncology patients.

NCC President Robert Landry said the medicines went to 10 organizations and hospitals throughout the country. In a recent hand-over ceremony in Mexico City, U.S. Ambassador Tony Garza noted "the generosity of (NCC) which has made a historic donation of life-saving drugs to the Casa de la Amistad's medicine bank."

NCC said its donation to Casa de la Amistad (Friendship House) was the first gift from an American foundation to the Mexican institution. The American charity...
