Simian virus 40 not involved in lymphoma pathogenesis

DNA sequences from SV40 "have been detected in various human tumors," including NHLs, "by highly sensitive PCR techniques," oncologists in France explained. "However, there is a strong debate as to whether SV40 is present in lymphoma cells."
