Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital to provide genetic risk-assessment tools

InferMed has partnered with the genetics department of Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital (GST) in London, England, to develop two potentially life-saving early-warning tools for breast and ovarian cancer for use in both the GST's own specialist clinic as well as the wider community.

The first tool helps clinicians analyze and identify a patient's hereditary risk of contracting breast and ovarian cancers, compares this risk with established national averages, and provides graphical representation to assist doctors in their explanation to the patient.
