The FS-E domain of the glycoprotein SPARC inhibits tumor angiogenesis. "Secreted protein acidic and rich in cysteine (SPARC) is a multifunctional matricellular glycoprotein. In vitro, SPARC inhibits the proliferation and migration of endothelial cells stimulated by growth factors and induces endothelial cell apoptosis.
