Market release of breast biopsy device announced

Sanarus Medical, Inc., announced the market release of the Cassi Rotational Core Biopsy Device, which is based on the company's proprietary Stick Freeze Technology. More than 1.6 million breast biopsies are performed each year in the United States. A biopsy may be prescribed when the patient's breast care physician detects a breast lump or abnormality. The procedure involves taking tissue samples or "cores" from the suspicious area to determine if the lump is cancerous.
