Display of hats meant to increase awareness of brain tumors

A traveling display of nearly 1,500 hats, each symbolic of a brain tumor survivor or victim, has stopped at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center's main hospital. The hats, first displayed in May during National Brain Tumor Action Week on Capitol Hill in Washington, on December 16 will go from Richmond, Virginia, to St. Louis as part of a roughly 20-city tour ending in May with another display on Capitol Hill.
