Common antidepressants lower effects of tamoxifen in many women

Clinical trial data confirm that selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor antidepressants reduce the effects of tamoxifen in many breast cancer patients.

The trial results were published by researchers from the Indiana University School of Medicine, the University of Michigan, and Johns Hopkins University in the January 5, 2005, issue of the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
