Vinorelbine showed no clinical influence on patients with metastatic melanoma

"Metastatic melanoma carries a dismal prognosis and there is a need to develop new treatment strategies. Vinca alkaloids have shown consistent activity in melanoma patients, as monotherapy and as part of combination regimens. The current study evaluates the clinical activity and tolerability of vinorelbine as first-line monotherapy in patients with metastatic melanoma," researchers in the United States report.
