Studies describe new findings in hematology research

Investigators in Italy, the United States and Netherlands have published new hematology data. Study 1: Interferon-based therapies modify the course of hepatitis C in hemophiliacs. "Hepatitis C is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in hemophiliacs who received clotting factor concentrates before the availability of virus-inactivated factors in the mid-1980s," according to researchers in Italy.
