Publication focuses on use of SIR-Spheres in breast cancer patients

Sirtex Medical Limited announced the first publication on the use of SIR-Spheres to treat a series of patients with breast cancer that has spread to the liver.

This is an important event as it is the first scientific report on the outcome of using SIR-Spheres to treat a large number of breast cancer patients. Previous publications have reported on the use of SIR-Spheres to treat either primary liver cancer or secondary bowel cancer (colorectal cancer) that has spread to the liver.
