High-powered endoscopic diode laser therapy palliated colorectal cancer patients

High-powered endoscopic diode laser therapy was used as palliative treatment for colorectal carcinoma.

"Endoscopic laser therapy using neodymium: yttrium-aluminum-garnet (Nd:YAG) laser has been shown to be effective in palliating symptoms of obstruction, bleeding, and discharge in patients with colorectal cancer. These patients usually have advanced inoperable disease at presentation or are unfit for surgery," researchers in England reported.
