First Mobetron Installation in Germany announced

Intraop Medical Corporation (IOPM) has received an order for a Mobetron from the Frauenklinik at the Universitatsklinkum of Heidelberg. The Mobetron is a proprietary medical device providing intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT) for cancerous tumors. For many types of tumors, IORT treatment made possible by the Mobetron can dramatically improve cancer survival rates and local control of the disease.

The Frauenklinik, or Women's Clinic, at the University of Heidelberg, specializes in both preventive and therapeutic care for a variety of diseases in women, including breast cancer. The Frauenklinik conducts over 600 breast cancer surgeries per year and has been at the...
