Massachusetts hospital selects upgraded, dedicated breast MRI system

Faulkner-Sagoff Breast Imaging and Diagnostic Centre at Faulkner Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts, has selected the Aurora 1.5T dedicated breast MRI system

The Aurora system, which is cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for breast imaging. It is available again after the technology was upgraded from 0.5T to 1.5T (tesla) magnet to provide clearer images.

The Aurora has an "elliptical sweet spot" which covers both breasts, the lymph nodes, and the chest area in a single scan. This offers a more complete exam than a mammogram, which scans each breast individually. Utilizing its patented RODEO fat suppression technology, the Aurora...
