According to a study from Rhode Island, "This was a prospective, randomized, controlled clinical trial assessing the safety and efficacy of a living bilayered skin construct (BSC; Organogenesis, Canton, MA) in treating full-thickness surgical excision wounds. We enrolled 31 patients needing excision of a nonmelanoma skin cancer."
K.G. Donohue and colleagues, Roger Williams Medical Center, explained "The patients consisted of 18 females and 13 males, with an average age of 67 years (range: 44 to 84 years)....
