Proteasome inhibitor MG132 induced apoptosis in human pancreatic cancer cells

The proteasome inhibitor carbobenzoxyl-L-leucyl-L-leucyl-L-leucinal (MG132) was shown to induce apoptosis in human pancreatic cancer cells.

According to recent research published in the journal Oncology Reports, "The ubiquitin-proteasome system plays a critical role in the regulation of programmed cell death. Proteasome inhibitors induce apoptosis in various cancer cells and have antitumor effects in murine tumor models."
