Transcutaneous immunization protects against HPV-induced tumors

Transcutaneous immunization in mice induced T-helper and cytotoxic T lymphocyte responses and protected against human papillomavirus-induced tumors.

Scientists in Germany report, "Previous reports have shown that transcutaneous immunization (TCI) with proteins or peptides in combination with adjuvants efficiently induces specific cellular and humoral immune responses.
