Delta Dental's corporate giving was $1.4 million in 2005

Programs that improved oral health or advanced dental science, along with community-based nonprofits and the American Red Cross Katrina relief effort, all benefited from grants made through the corporate philanthropic programs of the affiliated Delta Dental Plans of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana in 2005.

A total of $1.4 million was awarded by the tristate dental benefits provider through the corporation's Delta Dental Fund (DDF) and community relations program. In addition, hundreds of Delta Dental employees donated time and financial support to community-based charities, the company reports.
