Efficacy of bladder cancer treatment depends on urine interferon concentration

According to recently published research from the United States, the efficacy of a single intravesical treatment with Ad-IFN/Syn 3 is dependent on dose and urine interferon (IFN) concentration obtained.

"There is a need to improve the treatment of superficial bladder cancer. One area which holds promise is intravesical gene therapy," wrote Z. Tao and colleagues, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
