Findings advance knowledge in colorectal cancer research

Reports from the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Sweden highlight recent research on colorectal cancer.

Study 1: The effect of oxaliplatin (OHP) therapy on survival in advanced colorectal cancer patients pretreated with irinotecan (CPT) was examined.

"The activity of OHP and CPT alone or in combination with 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) in advanced colorectal cancer is comparable, but there are limited data on the effectiveness of oxaliplatin in patients pretreated by irinotecan.
