Researchers publish new studies and findings in the area of cancer therapy

New findings from the United States and Korea describe advances in cancer therapy.

Study 1: Scientists from the United States studied the functional coupling of p38-induced up-regulation of BiP and activation of RNA-dependent protein kinase-like endoplasmic reticulum (ER) kinase and its relation to drug resistance of dormant carcinoma cells.

"It has been proposed that occult, disseminated metastatic cells are refractory to chemotherapy due to lack of proliferation.
