Findings from Germany, the United States and Singapore describe new data in head & neck cancer research

Head & neck cancer research advances have been reported from Germany, the United States and Singapore.

Study 1: O-(2[F-18]fluoroethyl)-L-tyrosine (FET) PET was compared with F-18-FDG PET and CT in head and neck cancer patients.

According to recent research from Germany, "Recent studies suggest a somewhat selective uptake of FET in cerebral gliomas and in squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and a good distinction between tumor and inflammation.
