Researchers from South Korea, Japan and Italy report details of new studies and findings in the area of cancer treatment

Cancer treatment data are the focus of recent research from South Korea, Japan and Italy.

Study 1: Recent research from South Korea has chronicled the effects of hepatic arterial infusion (HAI) alternating with systemic chemotherapy in patients with non-resectable hepatic metastases from colorectal cancer.

"HAI chemotherapy has a number of limitations, including a low rate of complete response and frequent extrahepatic recurrence, in colorectal cancer patients with non-resectable hepatic metastases," wrote J.C. Kim and colleagues, University of Ulsan.
