Primary spinal epidural lymphoma responded better to combined modality treatment than radiotherapy alone

Primary spinal epidural lymphoma (PSEL) responded better to combined modality treatment than radiotherapy (RT) alone.

According to a recent article published in the International Journal of Radiation Oncology Biology Physics, scientists in Switzerland conducted research "to assess the clinical profile, treatment outcome, and prognostic factors in PSEL. Between 1982 and 2002, 52 consecutive patients with PSEL were treated in 9 institutions of the Rare Cancer Network. Forty-eight patients had an Ann Arbor stage IE and 4 had a stage IIE."
