New research, "Establishment of a novel foreign gene delivery system combining an HSV amplicon with an attenuated replication-competent virus, HSV-1 HF10," is the subject of a report. According to recent research from Nagoya, Japan, "Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1)-based amplicon vectors have been used widely in genetic engineering with many advantages for gene delivery, being easily constructed.
